Introducing and teaching the 5 vowels of the English language can be fun using Ricardo’s VOWEL BINGO game set.
This game uses characterised pictures of the vowel letters: a, e, i, o and u and encourages children to learn to recognise and recall the vowel letter forms, letter sounds and letter names.
It encourages letter-sound association and visual identification and recognition of each letter form. ie. what is the same and what is different in each vowel picture that they see, such that they can place the cheese token on the correct matching vowel letter character shape/form that the spinner lands on, as they are asked to say the letter sound and/or the letter name.
Also great for encouraging development of social skills like turn taking, rule following and good sportsmanship.
Perfect for in class or at home learning: tabletop learning hub, literacy centres, Daily 5, floor time, extension activity or rewards.
Game Set includes:
instruction card, 8 different BINGO cards, 2 game spinners & 2 pages of cheese tokens.
Enjoy printing the game out on thin white card or normal paper and gluing onto back of cereal packets.
With adult supervision, as age-appropriate, children can be given opportunity to cut out the cards and game instruction page themselves. This is good for addressing skills like eye-hand co-ordination, fine motor control and bilateral integration (ie. using two hands together).
